Japanese adjectives are different from English and they can be conjugated like verbs.


For example, the word “cute” is always the same whether it’s negative or past tense in English.


But in Japanese, we need to conjugate it.


"Cute" in Japanese is Kawaii so let’s take this word as an example:

Kawaii : Present

Kawaikunai : Present negative

Kawaikatta : Past

Kawaikunakatta : Past negative

Adjectives are conjugated the similar way as verbs but they do not have as many conjugation forms.


So once you learn the verb conjugation, it will be before breakfast!
